Make lemonade!
Sometimes lemons are on sale and too good a bargain to pass up. After you’ve baked lemon meringue pie, and lemon bars, what else do you do with them?
How about old timey lemonade?
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 c water
rind of two lemons cut into strips with pith removed
1 cup lemon juice
4 cups ice water
Boil sugar and water and lemon rind in a small pan until sugar is dissolved and your mixture turns into a syrup. Let cool.
Poor cooled syrup into large glass pitcher (glass tastes better) add lemon juice and ice water, stir.
Ta da - that’s it!
For pink lemonade add 3 tablespoons of grenadine syrup.
For limeade substitute lime peel for lemon peel, and lime juice for lemon juice.
Now if we just had the expansive lawn of a southern while columned mansion to serve it on…

Just thought I would share Grandmas best organic Honey Lemonade Recipe: 1/2 gallon warm water, 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice. Just mix it all with your hands (their warmth will disolve the honey and sugar) and pour mixture into a gallon container filled 3/4 with ice. You can even add a slice of fresh ginger for a little extra kick.
