Are you old enough to have sat at the drug store counter where you ordered a fizzy drink that they made for you right then and there?
Back in ‘the day’ we didn’t have sodas in every store. It was a special treat when Mom let you get one at the drug store.
This recipe will ‘take you back, Oh, and it’s frugal too!
Old Time Chocolate Soda
2T chocolate flavored syrup
1 T heavy cream
scoop vanilla ice cream
8-10 ounces of bottled carbonated water
Add 2 Tablespoons of chocolate syrup to a tall glass, add a tablespoon of cream. Then put in a scoop of vanilla ice cream and mash it together with the syrup and cream. Add carbonated water to half full then add another scoop of ice cream. Fill to top with the carbonated water.
Talk about a blast from the past!
