Another one of our favorite cookies.
1 c shortening
3/4 c brown sugar
3/4 c white sugar
1 egg
1/4 c water
1 t vanilla
1 c flour
1 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t cinnamon
3 1/4 c oats
Cream shortening with sugars. Beat in egg, vanilla and water. Stir in the remaining items and drop by spoonfuls onto well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 until golden (about 15 minutes)
Makes about 5 dozen depending upon the size of your scoop…
