During the monsoon we had a couple of months ago, our house was SO humid that we ended up heading to town and buying a dehumidifier. And now even though the last couple weeks have been HAWT (that’s Very very very hot) and DRY the dehumidifier is still running a supplying us with a steady supply of distilled water.
At first, I just watered the plants with it. And one only needs ‘so’ much distilled water for their iron.
I was tempted to just pour those gallons down the drain, but I couldn’t do that. I had to find a use for all that ‘free’ water.
So, I put a new water dish on the porch for the critters and every morning I refill their water dish with fresh, clean, free water. (Any leftover water in their dish goes to the flower bed off the porch.)
