According to a study conducted by The University of Birmingham (UK) green tea can increase the amount of fat burned during your exercise program. Looks like green tea, and green tea extracts can be your best “fat burner“.

Research showed a 17 percent greater fat burn during exercise when green tea was consumed, compared to a placebo.

Your fat metabolism actually improves whether you’re using a green tea extract or drinking green tea.

The active ingredient in green tea is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). It’s a powerful antioxidant.

To be certain that you’re getting the best from your green tea, make sure that the color is actually ‘green’ and not a muted brown. Tea turns brown as it oxidizes so for green tea, you want the greenest green you can buy.
